Apa dah jadi

Sabtu, sibuk menyiapkan 2 biji kek untuk Aishah, Choc Moist Cake & Marble CC. Rancangan awalnya nak kuhias kek hantaran menggunakan fondant. Dalam proses menyiapkan fondant, lihat apa yg terjadi di bawah. Alamak, dah patah. cemana nk buat pengakuan kpd emak ni?Mixer yg sy guna sekarang dipinjam drp emak, sementara nak kumpul modal membeli Mixer sendiri. Itulah Abang, orang dah kata kita kene beli Mixer sendiri jugak.
Agak kecewa dengan tragedi di atas, akhirnya kek tersebut hanya difrost menggunakan butter cream. Cuma kali ni mmg saya tambah sedikit deco bunga-bunga kecil dr fondant.

Selepas Asar, sy terus siapkan Kuih Kole Kacang untuk di bawa ke kenduri tahlil rumah FahmyZarid. Siap saja kuih kami ke rumah jiran yg buat jamuan minum petang & singgah sekejap rumah FahmyZarid sebelum maghrib. Akibatnya sampai lambat kat umah, lepas tu nk potong kuih lagi, rasa-rasanya kami antara yg paling lewat sampai Majlis tahlil walaupun rumah seberang jalan aje ;>



Kenapa Kole Kacang? Sebab nilah satu-satunya kuih talam tradisional yg paling menjadi kalau tangan yg tak berseni ni buat. Tapi Ramadhan kali ni dah tekad nak cuba buat Kuih Talam Cendol Kak Hanieliza ;) Moga berjaya! Jgn malas-malas ok.

Nota kaki: Tragedi sy ni langsung tak boleh dibandingkan dengan dugaan keatas FahmyZarid. Semoga Allah beri kekuatan pada kalian. Tak puas rasanya tak dpt borak lama ngan Zarid petang tu sbb dh nak dekat Maghrib. Lain kali boleh lawat lg la kot, buat lawatan mingguan

Baking class in Klang Valley

To a new friend who sent me an email asking about the baking class, pls apology me for giving a very very late reply (about 2 weeks i guess). Abg did warning me that I shall check my Y! mail frequently.I think I was so busy during work days, so that is the valid reason for not able to check the email often.

Since my reply was so short, let me share more about the baking class in KV that I've attended.
1) GRACE HOME CAKES (http://www.gracehomecakes.net/)
My first ever baking class that I joined on March after recovered from dengue. The location is quite near to my house. I learned Black Forest Cake, Cream Peach Cheesecake & Carrot Moist Cake. Top rating cake goes to Peach CC & Carrot MC.

2) BAKE WITH YEN(http://www.bakewithyen.com)
I think most of people know them. I always go to the KL/Puchong class. They have lots of products that I couldn't able to name it all in my blog. To date,I've attended 3 baking/decorating class in Yen. Yen's price is the best among others in terms of their product or class. Kudos Yen!

3) BAKERI RIA (http://cheffarid.blogspot.com/)
The first buttercream recipe & cake deco class I attended is here. Location : Taman Melawati.

4) BAGUS(http://www.bagus.com.my/)
They have many branches in KV, like Gombak, Tmn Permata. You may visit their website and view thru their varieties of products, baking classes & workshops. I just attended one workshop yesterday, Fondant & Royal Icing Workshop in BAGUS Gombak from 10.30am - 4.00pm. The fees is RM180. No wonder people charge the fondant cake a bit higher than normal cake frosted with butter cream because frosting & deco the cake with fondant need a very careful, creative, neat work + high level of patience to make a wonderful cake. 5) HOI ( house of ingredients)
The shop is very near to my house. I frequently buy there but never attend their class. They don't have website.

Quick update

28-29 July 07

I was on holiday with my family @ P.Pangkor. Perhaps Abang also enjoy the holiday with his all ex-schoolmates who turned up this time about 31 pax. Not bad huh. But, there are only 6 women (adult category) including myself while only 3 babies including Mus’ab & Mawaddah.
Taking the kids in the holiday trip to island is quite challenging. Mawaddah asyik nak dukung! We don’t have big bagpacks, just use normal bag with the trolley, which is very unsuitable for a holiday in island. She also scared with unknown people, she will cry every time the person approach or try to touch her. The only comfortable place for 3 of us is the room! Only 3 because Abang was hanging out with all friends until 12am. I didn’t joined the Barbeque session because kiddies already fall asleep at 7.30pm. They haven’t sleep for the day! Abang just got a barbeques tapau for me that night. We stayed in Teluk Dalam Resort. A nice resort for me. Kids really enjoyed the holiday in the swimming pool. I bought all “must to buy things” in Pangkor like ikan bilis, sotong kering, sotong kecil, ikan masin macam2 jenis.

From Pangkor we drove off to Penang because Abang got a meeting that night. We stayed in Hotel Seri Malaysia.

After checked out about10am, we decided to stop at Bukit Bendera before driving to Kg Kulim Kedah. The train fee is very reasonable RM4 for adult & RM2 for kid 3 yrs above.

31 July 07

We left kg kulim with all kampung’s fruits like rambutan, manggis, dokong & cempedak.

And today, we just arrived home from Kg Kuala Pilah, my grandmother hasn’t see Mawaddah since she can walk. Alhamdullilah, she’s doing fine.
Insyallah, I’ll be joining the Fondant Cake Woekshop @ Bagus Gombak in 2 weeks.
