Cahaya Mata Penyeri Keluarga Pengikat Kasih Sayang

Alhamdulillah, dengan kurnian Allah, tepat jam 2.53pagi 20/3/2006 telah selamatlah seorang lagi cahaya mata kami dilahirkan ke dunia. Nama baby? "Cahaya Kasih Sayang" -- you've to translate this into Arabic to get her real name.

Terima kasih kepada kawan2 yang mendoakan keselamatan Farrah dan juga baby baru. Terima kasih juga kepada semua yang wish kepada kitaorang.

We were so eager buying few furniture for our house just to welcome the arrival of my MIL, BIL & SIL to KL, specifically to our house for the 2nd time. The last time that they went here was during our Walimah 3 years ago. Unfortunately, they need to cancel the plan to come here during this school holiday due to few reasons.

Sebelum: Kosong je umah..no furniture

Selepas:Secipot furniture baru..perasan tak tade coffee table? tade budget maa.actually carpet + curtain also borrow from my mom

Insyallah, we plan to move to this house after my confinement end. We also plan to have kenduri doa selamat for the new house & for the new baby in this house. Need to find the budget lagiii :D. Now, rumah jadi tempat singgahan kami je hujung-hujung minggu. Bila weekend je lepak-lepak kejap.

Counting my days

Yes. The baby already engaged. I just know the news last Friday. I’m counting my days for the real challenging day! Today, I’m still working. So far, there’s no sign of labor coming.

Preparations for the big day:

1. 1 beg for having 3 days vacation in hospital

3. A bottle of air selusoh made by my DH


4. A bottle of air selusoh made by my Nanny


5. Bunga Siti Fatimah


6. Breathing exercise while watching TV: D


7. Daily Yasin recitation & other surah like Maryam,Yusoff, Taubah

9. Everyday visit babycenter.com to learn new knowledge especially on breastfeeding and coping with pain during labor


10. Makan puas-puas—every week menu: McDonald’s ice cream..yesterday & today: Pizaa..huhu..dasyat

Also requesting doa from family’s members especially Emak, Emak Mertua & my dearest hubby.

Lately, I also did not get enough sleep because of:

• I will awaken many times during the night to urinate 3-4 times between 12am-6pm


• Need to change Mus’ab diapers once between 12am-6pm


• Baby is kicking/punching strongly in my womb & always wake me up


• Tangan kiri & kanan kebas dek everynite tidur mengiring


• Perut gatal..need to get and apply baby oil few times

Jam menunjukkan jam 7.15 petang. But I’m still in the office. Few things need to be done before going home. The reason is esok & Isnin insyallah aku bercuti. Cuti rehat because I have big plan before giving birth.

The big plan is cooking! Mengidam nak masak & makan 3 benda: Corn ball, bubur pulut hitam & cream puff. Masyallah..larat ke aku nak masak ni.

Teringat balik peristiwa 2 tahun yg lepas. I start my maternity leave on the day that I took leave to rest at home. That was happened on Friday, 4 June 2004. Manelah tahu kot, it will happen again tomorrow!

Reading from babycenter this morning about a few type of pain relief during labor, it makes me thinking not to take any pain relief because of it’s disadvantages. (The source: http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/164.html). But I still cannot imagine how strong am I on that actual day. Should I take epidural? Ya Allah..berikanlah kekuatan kepada hambamu ini.

This is the last 2 years story.

I went home late on 3 June 04 to settle all my outstanding job because the next day I’ll on leave. Quite healthy that night but also feel a bit tired. The first contraction started at 3am but I totally didn’t realize it as one of the labor’s sign. The contraction feel like nak membuang air besar. Every hour I woke up & went to toilet. But tada benda pon yg keluar.

I still can performed solat subuh & recited surah yasin that morning in spite of having stomach ache. Then, I realized that I was having labor's pain when the slight blood came out from the vagina while I was taking morning bath.

We rushed to the hospital and arrived there at 8am. The dilation was only 2cm that time and Doc expected I’ll given birth during lunch. I can stand with the contraction until 7cm. But contraction become stronger from 7 to 10cm. I asked for epidural but the midwife didn't allow as she informed the time is almost around the corner. Alhamdulillah, I was safely delivered the Muhammad Mus'ab naturally without taking any labor’ s pain medication at 10.38am, Friday, 4 June 04. Nice date?? Truly, the hardest part was during the 'pushing stage'. I took alomost 5 attempts to push the baby. Thanks a lot to my DH for helping me during the hard situation. He was with me in the labor room. He comforted me with his massage, doa & quran recitation.

Ya Allah, help me. I want to have natural childbirth.

Farra, you're 37 weeks pregnant!

Congratulations! Your pregnancy is officially full-term. Your baby
can arrive any day now.

What do I feel now? A bit scary but also excited. Mama is no longer strong enough to carry this heavy belly. Especially when nobody offer seat to me while I'm in Putra, traveling from Menara to Kl Sentral, the place where my DH pick me up everyday. My weight is now increased almost 20kg!

Mus'ab: Ni bukan kopiah Mus'ab. Mus'ab curi dari kepala ayah. Mus'ab punya uwan dah belikan tapi tertinggal kat rumah la. Mus'ab punyer kaler putih"


Mus'ab: Ayah, meh Mus'ab tolong repair kereta kita. Sian btol tgk rupa keta kita dah seminggu cenggini.
Ayah Ab: Baik-baik pegang screwdriver tu yer.
Mus'ab:Nak guna cemane benda ni? Cucuk jek kat sini ek ayah?
Ayah Ab: Hentam sajala

Kami memang jarang menghalang si hero ni mencuba benda-benda baru. The reason, we think that it’s good for his development..another one sebabnya he's quite hot temper especially masa dia tengah tekun wat kerja cenggitu. Kalau kita halang, mengamuk ler gamaknya.

To date, our car is still in that condition. Sodey..sodey..sedang membilang jari, berapa tahun lagi la agaknya dapat beli kereta baru. Now, Maximize Saving!! Yeah yeah..~gaya Amuk

Cheese cake

As requested by Aini aka Mardiah12, here it is my Plain Cheese cake without crust recipe that I served during last 'makan-makan raya' ..lama btol aku hutang ko eh:

(A)
250gm Cream cheese
1/4 butter
6 biji kuning telur
60 gm tepung jagung
1/2 cawan cream
1 sudu esen limau
(B)
125 gm castor sugar
6 biji putih telur

1. Pukul bahan (B) hingga kembang
2. Dalam bekas berasingan, pukul semua bahan (A) hingga rata & adunan menjadi lembut
3. Masukkan bahan (B) dan kacau rata-rata
4. Bakar dalam oven secara 'Steam' pada suhu 180° for 1 hour

Cara Steam:
1. Sediakan 2 bekas yang berlainan saiz.
2. Isikan lebih kurang 1/2 cawan air dalam bekas yg lebih besar.
3. Masukkan adunan ke dalam bekas yg lebih kecil
4. Letakkan bekas yg lebih kecil ke dalam bekas yang berisi air & bakar di dalam oven.

Tip: Jika guna spring type pan, make sure you wrap your pan with aluminium foil to avoid water from going into the pan.

I just tried this new cheesecake recipe, Mable Cheese Cake last Sunday. I found it so delicious but it’s quite soft and hard to cut into neat pieces.

Crust:
1 cup Oreo Cookie crumbs
2.5 tbsp.butter – melted
Filling:
500gm Cream cheese
1 cup Cream
1 cup milk
100gm dark chocolate- melted
150gm Fine sugar
1 ts salt

Prepare the crust:
1. Crunch the Oreo Cookie crumbs using a food processor into fine bits. Melt the butter and add into the crushed cookies.
2. Press onto the bottom and sides of a 9 springform pan.
Prepare the filling:
3. Bring the cream cheese fully to room temperature.
4. Beat the cream cheese, sugar & salt until the mixture is smooth, free of lumps and fluffy.
5. Fold in milk
6. Stir the melted chocolate into the filling & make marble effect using spoon.ikut je creativiti memasing
7. Pour batter into the springfrom pan
8. Bake at 110°- 120° for 160 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean.

9. Cool on rack on counter for 30 minutes.

10. Place in refrigerator and chill completely before serving.

Mable cheese cake in a tupperware. Ready to serve for only closed officemates. To date, dah abeh dah pon
