Holiday tips during winter

First time going holiday to Aussie during Winter? Pening pasal AtoZ preparation tak? Ok kami dulu macam2 yang menjadi persoalan ie kene bawa ke tak payung? Sejuk sangat ke tak? Kami biasak mmg tak bawak payung & rain coat. Lip balm? Lotion? etc . So this post might be useful for your reference!

We went to Perth last time (6-12 June) during winter. Winter falls on June till Aug.

Hmm btw, the Average Winter Temperatures as below:

• June: Daytime 18-21C
• Overnight : Minimum 9-12C

 1) Winter cloth

Musim sejuk di Perth not as cold as in UK I guess. No snow. So baju sejuk tebal-tebal tu tak perlu. Just enough with sweeter jenis fleece / jacket. Yang korang tengok me & Waddah wore that winter jacket tu sebab takmo membazir beli jacket lain since my Sister dah belikan dr UK. Guna je apa yg ada :=)

Malam agak sejuk so get ready with socks and sweater too is enough. If not mistaken the temperature is around.

2) Baju hujan dan payung

Sangat useful. Both Ab & Waddah have one suit. We bought from Mydin at only RM7/8 each. Payung about RM16 also from Mydin. Muaz lost our umbrella kat Fremantle. So now baru saya ingat, di Fremantle Muaz jatuhkan kamera dan hilangkan payung!

 

Time ni hujan renyai2..raincoat is very useful

3) Plan your itinerary

Perth is quite big and during winter it's windy and rainy. So please plan your itinerary. Tempat menarik di Perth ni agak jauh-jauh jugak and that’s why for some reason it’s better to rent a car only for 2/3 days. Kalau nak pusing town je it’s ok not to rent a car.

Alhamdulilla it's such a pretty good whether the day we went to Lancelin & Pinnacles

4) Set your expectation.

Don't hope for good whether the whole day. So bila keluar cuaca tak brapa cun tu kita tadela rasa sangat sdey & we have to get ready and adjust your itinerary. So if you wanna visit Sand Dune @ Lancelin and Kings Park, be sure that it’s not raining.

Light to Moderate rain on the day we went to Kings park. Tak dapat buat aksi golek2 atas rumput! huwa

5) Lip balm & lotion

Better to use it on daily basis but hak lotion tu bukan kemain malasss. Malasnya bukan hapa..dok berderet anak2 nak dipakai lotion..sudahnya kami calit2 je sket kat derang. So for you better la apply both.

6) Food

Since cuaca sejuk, perut pon cam cepat je lapar. So we have to get ready extra food ie snacks, choc, drinks for the kids.

20kg food is quite enough for us for 5D5N. We just bought other groceries like onion, drinks, snacks, choc, bread, vege ( yer saya masih mengutamakan makanan seimbang gitu), milk, biscuits, egg etc.

Even I cooked everyday from breakfast till dinner during the trip, but overall expenditure under food category not low as we have 4 kids I guess. Total is AUD227=RM706. The itemized look like below:

 ~Groceries: AUD 80

 ~Snacks, drinks, choc, etc AUD80

 ~Danish Pattiseries AUD 26

 ~Fish n chips Cicerello's AUD 16

 ~Ispa Kebab , water & ice cream AUD 25

Despite of the chef's commitment in cooking everyday without fail, we still tried the best local food in WA..we tried F&C Cicerello and Ispa Kebab. Wajib la kan try the local food kat sinun kalau p holiday?

Kalau rajin, saya ingat nak menulis tempat yg harus dilawati di Perth jika bawa anak-anak berjalan dan tips2 berjalan dengan anak-anak. Kalau rajin (* cita-cita besau..kain segunung di belakang tidak diendahkan)
