Hotel Review: Mountway Holiday Apartment Perth

Mountway Holiday Apartment is a budget and basic apartment. The size is just OK ( or quite small) but can accommodate up to 5-6 people in a room. View Mountway video here.

It’s equipped with the cooking facilities which I like most, so you don’t have to bring any kitchen utensil. They provide almost complete kitchenware including one electric hotplate, 4 pieces of the dinnerware (dinner & small plates, mugs), knife, tin opener, fork, spoon, 2 cooking pans. 

Other facility available is bathroom,microwave, kettle, fridge, air-condition, TV, table lamp, alarm clock, mini dining table in the balcony, simple wardrobe.

Mountway has free limited parking for guest. There is still other parking available at road near to Mountway.

Location wise, Mountway is in central CBD and walking distance to Kings Park and the nearest Free CAT bus stop at Mountbay Road (distance is only 650m) .

 

Our travelmate, Aini requested the room service on our 3^rd day. They have done it to all the rooms, which is 5 rooms in total. 

Cons: The building is quite old and so the room condition eg carpet and bathroom.

Other apartments offer higher rates than Mountway. Overall for me it’s Value For Money and I highly recommend for any budget traveler like us. If you have extra budget, you may stay in Mounts Bay Water Apartment which is located in front of the BLUE CAT bus stop. (Pro: you don’t have to walk extra 650m)

You can book online via agoda, booking.com or Mountway website. As for us, we book directly with the hotel after bargain for extra discount for group booking. I get AUD145 per night for family room 4 pax, savings of AUD10/night since the original rate is AUD155. The setting in the room for 4 pax is 1 double bed and 2 singles.
