salam..

tumpang komen je. Pada pendapat saya kalau ramai anak2 ni memang sangat elok bawak stok food bebanyak ke oz. Pengalaman saya kat sana last Dec, food dia agak (sangat) mahal..hihihi..saya duk guna £ pun rasa mahalnya ya Allah..Senang citer kami (berdua je - ada bebudak taklehlaa kesian lapar) survive on bread and nutella haha, lucnh&dinner sekalikan, cari tempat paling murah..bread pun mahal, nutella yg paling keciiiik tu rega dia dekat 4aud, which kat msia pun dekat RM4. AUD tgh kuat skrg maybe sbb tu mahal sangat. Lagipun, dah alang2 bawak food, bawak bebanyak sbb kat declaration dia agak lama...We all sampai tu cuma bawa pineaple tart, souvenir for my hub's sv yg dah pindah kat sana, so tu jeklah sebijik yg kami nak declare tunggu sampai dekat 1 hr. Penat sungguh, so alang2 nak declare tu declare bebanyak biar puas mokcik kastam tu memunggah hehehe..
With regards to payung, I prefer/advise you invest on simple poncho (ala macam baju hujan tapi yg simple macam plastik sekeping je) rather than payung. I dont know how windy is perth during autumn/early winter, kalau windy sangat susah nak guna payung, silap2 patah. Lagi satu, poncho tu bole cover you and your belongings cam backpack ke bila hujan, and left your hands free to pegang your kids ke etc. Lagi satu, senang dan ringan nak pack. POncho is my essential travelling tools, not stylish though tapi sangat versatile and useful.

Anyway just my 2cents je. Saya tak pernah sampai Perth so maybe lain kot cuacanya..mahap sangat kalau salah.

shu, waalaikumsalam..owh good idea tapi org citer imi kat aussie sgt strict , advisable food tu intact je dlm kotak2..even susu budak pon kami bawa sepek

ayu, garam tu nak guna sekali dua je masa masak sardin, telur etc..tgh fikir nak bawa ke tak..tp if bawa org lain takyah bawak, kite sedekah to all families

Azie, rasanya kenal. tq for your tips ya! pakai spek kan? saya bawak food ni 1 beg la kot..mmg byk...good idea gak poncho/raincoat tu kan? yg kaler lutsinar tu ek?

ooo, ok2, klu org dh pesan mcm tu xpela, better ikut, aritu shu bwk sardin, maggi, brahims etc, pastu ada bwk ikan bilis siap2 goreng, officer kat situ tny sotong ke nih, pastu bila kata ikan bilis baru lepas,hehehe...lg satu yg sy slalu stok siap, pantyliners (sorila sebut kat sini), sbb kat aus mahal, dahla sy jenis pki byk, stiap kali solat nak tukar semua...have a good holiday!!!..

yer saya pakai spek :)

hmm, oz ni kena declare je smua benda, biar overdeclare, jgn underdeclare. Mmg bagus letak food and benda2 lain yg nak kena declare setempat, snang nak tunjuk. Tapi nanti dia still nak tgk beg lain jugak, tapi takdelah punggah2, setakat selak je. Again, ni experiece di airport mel,syd and brisb je.

Poncho is a godsend! :). Haah yg flimsy lutsinar. I love it, bila tak guna boleh selit2 je kat mana2 poket, bila hujan dia cover kita habis2an, hujanlah selebat2nya, we'll stay dry..I memang tak suka sangat bawa payung..nuisance. Berat, susah bila angin kuat, takleh bawa naik flight as hand luggage (on europe's airlines - we travel wt handluggage je) and sometimes takleh nak bawa masuk ke tempat2 yg kita nak pegi takut jadi weapon ke apa..leceh nak kena store dia pulak. Lagipun poncho boleh buat alas duduk gak..tak yah bawak picnic mattress ke, nak solat pun boleh alas bawah sejadah ke kalau kita rasa tempat tu tak berapa bersih or kering for our liking. Like I said before, versatility!

Saya mmg cari jalan bawa benda ringan sbb bila kita penat towards the end of the day, beg yg ringan akan jadi berganda2 beratnya. Sakit badan, penat dan akan jadi kurang enjoy berjalan.

enjoy jalan2..err..weather perth panas je..lagi panas dr uk yg dah nak masuk summer ni hehe..

azie, oO ic byk tempat di Oz awak dah gi eh? ok better siap2 tulis kat mesia ni food apa kita bawak eh? then senang nak declare..tq yee

Farra, kalau nak Nasgera kita ada lebih yg bwk ke hong kong aritu. Takyah bayar, kita bagi free jer. Arituh kena beli min 1kg, tapi nasi tuh mmg kembang, letak sket jer dah penuh tupperware. Lagi satu, bwk tupperware kosong tak utk letak mknn? Ayu dulu bawak bekas 4 segi yg clear tuh, senang leh buang masa nak blk nnt. Siap dgn sudu garpu n jgn lupa bawak botol kosong utk guna toilet. I assume kat sana pun toilet takde air hehe.

saya stopover oz sambil ikut org keja..cuma spend 1-2 days at each place, tak sebest org pegi holidays betul2 :).
jangan risaulah customs oz sgt efficient and understanding, you must know apa benda yg u declare bila dia tanya, dia terima aje apa yg kita cakap..kalau ada benda yg dia rasa dia nak confirmation baru dia suruh kita tunjuk betul2. Diorg bukan mencari2 silap, cuma buat kerja dgn diligentnya. Rileks je cuma lama skit nak tunggu queue sbb satu kapal tu semua org nak declare kan. If u nak lepas cepat, cepat2 la keluar bila pintu plane tu bukak je, though with children that feat is quite difficult to achieve :). Declare bukan setakat food je, medication pun kena. Saya tick je sbb saya ada bawa ointment and ubat skit2 yg biasalah, tapi like I said before, declare je, nanti before queue utk customs akan ada officer g cek declaration form tu and tanya what kind of things - Kalau setakat krim biasa2 tu takpe, dia kata takyah tunjuk, dia more towards prescription drugs. Yang penting declare.
Cuma I nak share benda2 yg mesti I bawa for any holidays rather than benda2 biasa;

1 - Wide brim hat - kalau agak panas-kalau mendung/peak winter tak payahlah
2 - UVA/UVB high SPF factor protection creme
3 - Poncho/very light, foldable raincoat - ni kalau bukan high winter, kalau memang high winter memang pakai hooded jacket je, prefer parka style yg ada bulu2 kat hood :).
4 - Small travel first aid kit or at least plasters. Kalau apa2 luka ke takyah nak kena cari pharmacy semata2, buang masa
5 - Medications for rashes, allergy, diarrhoea and constipation :). Sakit2 yg senang kena bila kita travel. bAwa skit2 je
6- hand wipes & hand disinfectant - esp budak2 pegang tu pegang ni or bila kita susah nak cari sumber air nak basuh tangan or malas nak queue panjang nak masuk bilik air. Tangan kena bersih esp bila ada wabak2 swine /bird flu.
7 - Botol/container air nak masuk bilik air (macam Ayu cakap)
8 - Qiblat compas dgn instructionnya sekali, very light/small sejadah/piece of cloth.
9 - Travel insurance is strongly advisable though optional.
10 - Unless you guna limo or ada private driver, you must have comfy shoes / sandals yg waterproof. I personally prefer well fitted walking/running trainers sbb we all selalu rushing lari sana sini or jalan laju2..kalau dah duk setempat tu cuma 1-2 hari kena rush utk cover banyak tempat.

Other than that, mesti keep details of our own embassy/consular in case anything happen kita tau nak tuju mana. Kalau negara tu takde our consular, cari our neighbour's such as sin ke brunei ke or even UK pun takpe.

Last but not least, kena exercise skit before pegi utk tingkatkan stamina heheheh...sbb banyak menapak nanti. Keep water & choc / any sweets handy while you are walking to burst you energy.

Sorry panjang..Hopefully beneficial to you and others!

Enjoy ye..
